As the summer golfing season heats up, the demand for tee times has increased significantly. We are recommending that if you want to play golf on Fridays or Saturdays before 9am; it would benefit you to schedule  a tee time. There will be no fivesomes allowed to play together in the early morning groups.
Alpine Bay Golf will be having their 2020 Member/Guest tournament on the dates of June 27 & 28. This will be a shotgun start at 8:30am each morning. The course will be closed to the public until 1pm each day.
You can call the clubhouse at 256-268-2920 to schedule a tee time.

As of this post, Alpine Bay Golf remains open for business. Our grille is open to carry out orders only.
If you feel well, we invite you to come and enjoy the outdoors and some golfing. We do ask that you practice the guidelines that are suggested by the CDC as far as social distancing. If you are not feeling well, we would prefer you to stay at home and recover and not be a threat to the well being of other golfers.
We hope that as a nation, we will recover from this situation that we are presently in and that we can resume a somewhat normal routine in the near future.

We have received an abundant amount of Rain thus far in 2020 (17.81 inches as of the 16th of Feb). I sure would like to save some of it for the summer months, but we will take it whenever we can. The course has been Cart Path Only for several days thus far. We hope the rain will hold off long enough for us to pre emerge our fairways and greens.

SHAWN REIDER BENEFIT TOURNAMENT

As most of you already know, Shawn has been battling brain cancer for well over a year now. Although they do have good insurance, the financial burden of Angie not being able to work on a regular basis, travel to and from doctors and hospitals, co-pays, hotels and meals have taken a toll on their financial situation.

Alpine Bay Golf will be hosting another benefit tournament for them on Friday November 1 at 12:00 noon. The tournament will be a three golfer scramble and the entry fee will include lunch. The cost to enter will be $70.00 each or $210.00 per team. Mulligans will be available (2 for $5) with all the mulligan money going to the cause. Each golfer can purchase 2 muligans.

If you have a business and would like to sponsor a hole ($100.00), please let us know asap so that we can have a sponsorship sign created for your business. Any other gifts, contributions or help in any way would be greatly appreciated. If you desire to assist in any way, call us at 256-268-2920.

Shawn has been a vital person in the operation and overall existence of this golf course from the mid 80s up until the time he was diagnosed with cancer. He had a true passion for this place and we want to help the Reider family as much as possible in this time of trying conditions. So keep Shawn and Angie and the entire Reider family in your thoughts and prayers.

Spread the word about this tournament as we need to have a full field of 36 teams if possible.

Payouts are based on 36 teams: i.e., if we have four flights with an equal amount of teams in each flight. 1st place would be #$330.00 and 2nd place would be $210.00 per team.

Place the best you can. The tournament will be flighted after the scores have been posted.

Thanks

Tony Parton
