Alpine Bay is a links style course.

The course does not make a turn at the clubhouse after nine holes. The fact is that number nine is as far away from the clubhouse as you can get and still be on our property. We normally have a beverage cart running on Fridays, holidays and weekends. Our Pro Shop has most golfing essentials, (ie) gloves, balls, caps and shirts.

Alpine Bay Golf was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. As with all of his courses, it was designed to be played with some thought in mind. He created landing areas on all of the par 4s and 5s. The hole is best played from these landing areas. Drives that go beyond these areas normally wind up with a steep down or side hill lie.

Hole 1

A dog leg right par 4 and is very easily reached with a good drive and a wedge. If you cut to much off of the corner you will have a down hill lie. There is a large bunker on the left that should be avoided if possible.

Hole 2

A short par 4 that has a large undulating green. Approach shots close to the pin are a must.

Hole 3

A par 5 that requires a good drive and a long second shot to reach in 2. It is a slight dog leg right and the fairway slopes to the left. It is an adequate par 5 for most golfers.

Hole 4

A par 3 that normally plays around 150yds from the middle tees. There is a small pond and three sand bunkers that come into play. The green has a large ridge that seperates the left and right side of the green. If your ball is on the wrong side of the ridge it can make for a tough two putt.

Hole 5

A short (295yd) straight away par four. The fairway is narrow and there is trouble on either side. The green is narrow and ther is a steep drop behind the green. Don’t be long.

Hole 6

The #1 handicap hole on the front nine. It is a sharp dog leg right with an uphill approach shot. There are trees to the left and right of the fairway. A drive into the trees makes for a tough hole to par.

Hole 7

A slight dog leg right and it is a down hill hole. It plays to 332yd. A 200yd drive leaves you the best approach shot.

Hole 8

An uphill par 3 that is normally around 160yds. The green is protected by a large bunker in front and a small one behind the green.

Hole 9

A short dog leg right par 5. Lots of birdies on this hole. Pin placement can be hazardous.

Hole 10

Hole #10 is the #18 hdcp hole. It is a short par 4 that has a dog leg left.

Hole 11

A par 5 dog leg left. Reachable with two really good shots from a long hitter. The left side is hazard and it does come into play off of the tee box.

Hole 12

The first hole Alpine Bay’s (Amen Alley). Most golfers agree this is the toughest hole on the course. It is a par 4, dog leg right that plays at around 400yd. Good Luck!!

Hole 13

A straight away par 4 that plays to around 380yds and most tee shots will filter to the right side of the fairway. You can play from the right side. Any drive to the left woods is not good.

Hole 14

A par 3 that has water involved. Any wayward shot to the right will probably be wet. It has several tee boxes and they are all challanging tee shots.

Hole 15

A straight away par 4 that plays to about 360yds. The green is protected by bunkers on both sides of the green. You need to fly this green in the air. Any short shots have a chance to roll in a bunker.

Hole 16

A short, straight par 5. Drives to the left can go OB. Be careful of the Two pine trees on the right. Birdie Hole

Hole 17

The shortest of all the par 3s. Downhill shot that has to carry a small pond and it normally plays around 120yds.

Hole 18

A great finishing hole. The tee boxes are so versatile. A drive to the flat landing area will leave a second shot that is very capable of a birdie putt. The long drives can result in a chip shot to the green or it can leave you playing your 3rd because your drive went in the lake to the right. “Good Luck Have Fun”
